Girls Getaway with Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line

My oh my…. I lived my best life last weekend in the Bahamas. I was invited to the Girls Getaway with Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line and we had a blast. We sipped martinis, indulged in girl chat, danced to Caribbean music, experienced a luxury sailboat, watched live shows, and more. I also got a sun-kissed golden tan from morning yoga on the ship (golden goddess for the win).

The Girls Getaway Package

So let’s get started with the review! Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line specializes in 2-night 3-day getaways. Every month, the cruise line hosts a Girl’s Getaway event onboard the ship. The Girl’s Getaway Package is a special add on to enhance the cruise vacation. It’s so worth it! The package comes with so many perks and I used every last one. The event line-up was an exciting adventure to embark on because each activity was on a different deck level.

DAY 1

Check-In:

During the check-in process (which was pretty cool because we went through an expedited line), we received the Girl’s Getaway goodie bag filled with a cute pouch and collectible mug. I used the pouch throughout the cruise because it was see-through and easy to carry.

Lunch at the Plunge Grill

Once we boarded the ship, we went straight to the poolside Plunge Grill to grab a quick bite. I made sure to arrive with an empty stomach because all meals are included on the cruise. I only grabbed a burger and fries because I was in a rush to head over to the next activity.

By the way, I’m very picky with food and let me tell you that the assortment of food at the grill and buffet did not disappoint.

Line-up Activity: SAIL AWAY PARTY

The Sail Away Party is a nice reminder to let go and enjoy the cruise. The music and dance competitions were a great way to set the cruise off right. They played classic songs like the “Electric Slide”, “The Macarena”, and “Cupid Shuffle” to get everyone on the dance floor.

As part of the Girls Getaway Package, we had a VIP section during the sail away party. It was very nice to have our own area to sit and enjoy the view. We also had the option to grab champagne.

Line-up Activity: MIXOLOGY CLASS

The mixology class was so much fun. The waitstaff was very entertaining while they mixed a few popular martini drinks. The staff told jokes and showcased their mixing skills. They displayed a cool mix on how to prepare a Cosmo, Green Apple, and Cinco de Mayo martinis. Each drink was so yummy!!!

Disclaimer: I’m a total lightweight when it comes to alcohol, but I’ll sip a lil’ bit every now and then 😎. But the martini class was worth it. Great times!!!

Admirals Steak and Seafood Restaurant

Dinner at the Admiral’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant was very divine. It was a nice 5-course meal. Unfortunately, my camera died at dinner and I couldn’t take photos of the food; but here’s a pic of the menu.

DAY 2

Breakfast at the Oceanview Buffet

There are a few dining options for breakfast onboard the ship, but I wanted to grab a quick bite before yoga. We settled on the buffet which had a large assortment of food options. Yes, the food is as good as it looks in the photos!!!

Line-up Activity: YOGA ON THE SHIP

Ok, let me be frank, I am a not a yogi. I tried it once years ago and almost fainted lol. But to my surprise, I found it relaxing on the ship. The yoga instructor made it fun and entertaining. Also, the music was calming, and the sound of the ocean birds chirping was a great experience. I would do it again!

Shore Excursion: Beach Day Getaway with Luxury Sailing

For the shore excursion, we chose the Beach Day Getaway with the Luxury sailing option. We went to Bahamas Adventures, which is a nice area on the beach with a pavilion, food, and water activities like jet skis, kayaking, and more. I experienced my first ever sailboat experience, and let’s just say…. I have a new favorite hobby. It was so relaxing to just lay on the boat and soak in some sun.

I didn’t jump in the middle of the ocean like some of the other girls (sharks, I’m just saying lol), but I had a great time vibing to the music and catching the ocean breeze.

Line-up Activity: MINI MANI AND HAPPY HOUR

Unfortunately, I missed out on the free mini manicure because I did my nails before the cruise. However, I chilled by the pool area and met a few new people. I also had the opportunity to watch the sunset. It was so beautiful watching the sunset out on the sea.

DAY 3

Breakfast at the Oceanview Buffet

We grabbed breakfast at the Oceanview buffet again. So yummy. After breakfast, I took a few more pictures before disembarking the ship.

FINAL RECAP

I highly recommend cruising with Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line. It was very nice to explore the amenities onboard the Grand Celebration ship. There were also a lot of activities to choose from like the Casino, night clubs, and lounges. Additionally, the ship crew were so friendly and inviting.

The Girls Getaway package was so worth it. The lineup was entertaining, and they treated us like royalty. Overall, I had a great time hanging out with the girls and meeting new people.
