Happy Valentine’s everyone! Hope you’re having a day filled with love and special memories! ❤️ This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a fun Galentine’s Day Brunch hosted by @adventuresoflawyermom, @sportymommas, South Florida Mom Bloggers, Black Moms Miami, and Shannon Allen owner of Grown South Beach.
It was so much fun hanging with my girls and meeting new faces. It’s always a fabulous time mingling with new like-minded women.

The event speaker for the Galentines Day Brunch, Rochelle Gapere was amazing. She discussed the importance of self-love and finding happiness. Her energy was everything and her speech was very touching.
She touched on a few topics, but the one that was so important was “comparison”. We live in an era where everyone is posting their “highlights” on social media. Her discussion on comparing oneself to others was so important because comparison is literally the thief of joy. Remember, no one is posting their life’s toughest moments, so try not to compare yourself to perfectly curated feeds.
